Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2022 Celebrated by BIILSD

Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2022 is October 24-31. The annual Global MIL Week, initiated in 2012, is led by UNESCO in cooperation with the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance, the UNESCO-UNAOC Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue (MILID) University Network, and other partners. It is a major occasion for stakeholders to review and celebrate the progress achieved toward “Media and Information Literacy for All”. This year’s theme is “Nurturing trust: A Media and Information Literacy Imperative“. Global MIL Week 2022 is hosted by Nigeria this year.

In this connection, Bangladesh Institute for Information and Literacy and Sustainable Development (BIILSD) celebrates this week as Media and Information Literacy (MIL) is one of the priority areas of BIILSD.

The 2022 UNESCO Global MIL Week Feature Conference will take place both in person and online and bring together select government representatives, experts, and practitioners to discuss the role of MIL competencies in advancing the public good.
