Melita Mehjabeen, PhD isan Associate Professor at IBA, University of Dhaka and in charge of the Doctoral program at IBA. She herself has completed her bachelors and masters from IBA itself and have joined the Institute in 2009. A commonwealth scholar, Dr. Melita has completed her PhD in Accounting and Finance from the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK.She also has a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka where her research was on women entrepreneurship development programs in Bangladesh. Her research interests lies in governance and accountability, CSR and sustainability reporting, and SMEs and entrepreneurship .she also has a number of publications in national and international journals .

Dr. Mehjabeen has experience in conducting training in corporate governance and CSR, managing financial institutions, communication and sales for professionals .Before entering the academia, Dr. Melita has worked at the corporate sector for 5 years , serving at British American Tobacco, Bangladesh and Citibank, N.A.An extrovert in nature, she dreams of making a positive in the society through her activities .
